Team Boro Hockey

Mention some in the picture above. Front row second from left Mikael von der Geest which is also mentioned above the picture. One from right in the first row Rolf Riddervall world champion in the Swedish national team three kronor. The second row from the bottom of the third from the left is Pelle Hönberg later coach for Karlskrona which he led in the eliserie, four from the left Anders Johansson assistant couch in the Swedish junior national team. Boro was not only the name of our company for many years but the Boro name also bore the hockey team of the resort.
Team Boro Hockey was a commitment with an exciting development that I personally engaged in the recruitment of most of the renowned players.

If you have ever been to Landsbro, it is probably a bit surprising that the small resort with about 1500 inhabitants just over 25 years ago was stumbling close to getting a team in the highest Swedish hockey series. But that was just the way it was when the club presented star after star in a venture of rarely seen kind with the house manufacturer Team Boro and CEO Curt Wrigfors at the forefront. Currently, Boro / Vetlanda is best known for its two NHL exports in Erik Karlsson and Johan Franzén. But the club sits on another story to tell - the one when national team stars such as Rolf Ridderwall and Anders "Masken" Karlsson were recruited and almost took the club to the elite series. .
